Short Ribs Ragu with Pappardelle

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs bone-in short ribs
  • 6 tbsp Spare Ribs Rub & Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 tsp Classic Pasta Seasoning
  • 12 oz pappardelle
  • Fresh parsley & Parmesan (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sear Ribs: Season ribs with Spare Ribs Rub & Seasoning. Sear in hot olive oil until browned. Set aside.
  2. Cook Veggies: In the same pot, sauté onion, carrots, celery, and garlic until soft.
  3. Simmer Sauce: Add wine, reduce, then stir in tomatoes, beef broth, and Classic Pasta Seasoning. Return ribs to pot, cover, and simmer for 2.5 hours.
  4. Shred Meat: Remove ribs, shred meat, discard bones, and return meat to sauce.
  5. Cook Pasta & Serve: Toss cooked pappardelle in ragu, garnish with parsley and Parmesan. Enjoy!
