Ingredients
- 21 oz chicken tenderloins, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- ½ cup corn starch
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp oil (for sauce)
- 3 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp finely grated ginger
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (for sauce)
- 4 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tsp corn starch (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp thinly sliced green onions (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp Spicy Lemon Chicken Seasoning
- 1 tsp Lemon Pepper Seasoning (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Marinate the Chicken:
Whisk the egg, soy sauce, and Classic Chicken Rub & Seasoning. Marinate chicken pieces for 20 minutes.
2. Coat and Fry the Chicken:
Coat marinated chicken in corn starch. Fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. Set aside.
3. Prepare the Sauce:
In a skillet, sauté garlic and ginger in oil. Add chicken broth, soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar, honey, Spicy Lemon Chicken Seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Simmer until the sugar dissolves.
4. Thicken and Toss:
Add the corn starch slurry to the sauce to thicken. Toss the fried chicken pieces in the sauce until well coated.
5. Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, and a sprinkle of Lemon Pepper Seasoning.
