Ingredients
- 3/4 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 egg
- 5 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 7 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
- 5 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 4 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp chili crisps or chili flakes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 10-12 raw deveined, tail-off shrimp
- 1/2 cup sliced onion
- 1/3 cup carrot matchsticks
- 4-6 oz cooked stir-fry noodles
- 2 tbsp Steakhouse Seasoning Rub (for the beef)
- 1 tbsp Lime Chilli Seasoning (for shrimp and sauce)
- 1 tsp Mediterranean Seafood Seasoning (for shrimp and noodles)
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Beef:
In a bowl, mix the sliced flank steak with the egg to coat. Add cornstarch, Steakhouse Seasoning Rub, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
2. Fry the Beef:
Heat 5 tbsp oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Fry the beef in batches until crispy. Set aside.
3. Make the Sauce:
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, sweet chili sauce, tomato paste, chili crisps, and Lime Chilli Seasoning. Set aside.
4. Cook the Shrimp:
In a separate pan, heat 2 tbsp oil. Add onions and sauté for 4 minutes. Add carrots and cook for another minute. Stir in shrimp, seasoned with Mediterranean Seafood Seasoning and Lime Chilli Seasoning. Cook until the shrimp turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
5. Combine Everything:
Pour the sauce over the shrimp and vegetables. Add the crispy beef and toss to coat. Add cooked noodles and mix until everything is well combined and heated through.
6. Serve:
Garnish with green onions and extra chili flakes if desired.
