Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 3 tsp Pasta Seasoning
  • 3 Sausage & Burger Seasoning
  • 3 tsp Zesty Italian Seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta:
    Boil penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook Sausage:
    In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced sausage seasoned with Sausage & Burger Seasoning and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove sausage and set aside.
  3. Sauté Aromatics:
    In the same skillet, add diced onion and garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add Tomatoes and Seasoning:
    Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Pasta Seasoning, and Zesty Italian Seasoning. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until the sauce thickens, then adjust salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sausage:
    Add the cooked sausage and pasta to the skillet, stirring to coat everything in the flavorful sauce.

Serve:
Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot. Enjoy this zesty, comforting Italian-inspired pasta dish!
